Robert Di Domenica collection, 1948-1998 (bulk 1957-1993).

The collection includes music manuscripts and printed music by the composer, programs of his performances, lesson plans, papers by his students and evaluations. The bulk of the collection presents his musical works from 1948 to 1998, most of them with annotations. There is also a small amount of correspondence, biographical material on Di Domenica and his relatives, his writings, and photographs. There are also six paintings by a composer.

Robert Di Domenica, American composer, flutist and music educator, was born in New York City on March 4, 1927. He received a BS degree in music education from New York University (1951) and pursued private studies in composition with Wallingford Riegger and Josef Schmid; his principal flute teacher was Harold Bennett.
